WASHINGTON, DC (Nov. 14, 2022) – Only two weeks remain for inspirational charter school leaders to apply for $160,000 in IMPACT Awards from Building Hope, a non-profit foundation dedicated to creating high-quality K-12 charter school opportunities for students through its expertise in real estate, finance and operational services. Charter school leaders can complete the application now through Nov. 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
The Building Hope IMPACT Grants honor charter schools that excel in community engagement, educational innovation, student empowerment and have perfected their charter school model. Applications have been received from charter schools in 27 states and Washington, D.C.
Building Hope will award three $20,000 grants and six $10,000 grants in recognition of excellence in community engagement, educational innovation, and student empowerment. New this year, three established charter schools or small networks will be honored with one $20,000 grant and two $10,000 grants for creating long-term impact in the charter school community and for the families they serve.
One charter school volunteer will receive the $5,000 Shellie-Ann Braswell “Shine Brighter” Award, which was created and named in honor of a dedicated volunteer leader who led with love and made everything around her shine brighter. This award will recognize volunteers who embody this spirit and make memories for charter school families to cherish.
In addition to receiving grant award dollars, charter school and volunteer finalists will receive an expense-paid trip to the Annual Summit & Awards.
IMPACT Award winners will be announced during Building Hope’s second annual IMPACT Summit taking place from May 1-5, 2023. This gathering of top charter school leaders is an opportunity for charter leaders to connect, network, and learn from each other in deep dive sessions on topics most relevant to charter leaders today.
