OCALI CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL TO CUT THE RIBBON ON NEW 18,192-SQUARE FOOT FACILITY ON OCT. 24 AT 1 P.M. EST

New Location to Support School Growth, Addition of Up to 220 High School Students

OCALA, FL (Oct. 23, 2023) — Clear Choice Academies, Inc. proudly announces the formal inauguration of Ocali Charter High School, marking a significant milestone in the educational landscape of Historic Marion County. Aiming to provide students from Grades 6 through 12 with a clear and unparalleled academic choice dedicated to nurturing future leaders by focusing on cultivating a community-driven ethos, fostering leadership qualities, promoting empowerment, emphasizing accountability, and nurturing a culture of respect, Ocali Charter High School is set to redefine the educational experience for its students.

At 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, Ocali Charter High School will cut the ribbon on its new 18,192-square foot facility located on five acres of land on West Anthony Road in Ocala. Students, families, community leaders, and local officials have been invited to attend the Inaugural Ceremony.

The ribbon-cutting will take place as the school celebrates a number of firsts, including Club Day, Student Advisory Council, and Homecoming Week. Student Government Association President Aiden Boocock and Vice President Jacob Haynes will make remarks about their goals for this inaugural year. Ocali Charter High School’s educational model includes small classes, flexibility to meet student needs, reduced organizational complexity, strengthened community, enhanced security and risk reduction, and empowerment and ownership for teachers and students.

“We are so proud to have created a traditional model high school where everyone knows your name and where students are actively engaged in their education,” said Executive Director Teecy Matthews. “This is a place firmly committed to building a brighter future for today’s generation.”

The new facility, constructed in partnership with nonprofit foundation Building Hope features space for project-based learning and an Online Business Incubator (OBI) program, where students will learn the fundamentals of launching an online business by the time they graduate.

Enrollment totals 75 Grade 9 and Grade 10 students this year, with plans to grow to 220 students over the next three years. Currently, 30 additional seats remain open for prospective students. Interested families are invited to attend one of the upcoming expos on Nov. 2 and Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. Details are available online at www.ocalicharterhighschool.com, where students may also apply for enrollment.

“Our intent is to keep Ocali small and create an intimate, individualized atmosphere where our students thrive,” Matthews continued. “In doing so, we offer the community a tuition-free option that serves students to the highest standards of academic and character achievement and prepare them for adulthood, career, and college advancement.”
