WASHINGTON, D.C. (MARCH 23, 2022) – Building Hope, the non-profit leader in charter school facilities, financing, and services, today announced its Charter Support Unit will host a Florida Charter School Governance Conference from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 26, 2022. The conference is free to attend and accessible both in person at Orlando Science Charter School and remotely through a conference app.
The CSU is a free support network operated by Building Hope in partnership with the United States Department of Education through a federal dissemination grant and with the Florida Department of Education through a federal CSP grant. Its primary mission is to serve all charter schools in their first five years of operation, and it provides many free services to charter schools across the country.
Rep. John Snyder, Representative for the 82nd District of the Florida House of Representatives, will deliver the keynote address to open the conference. Attendees may customize their conference experience by choosing from a variety of topics for each of the four conference breakout sessions. Topics range from good governance, to legal mistakes, leadership, onboarding, insurance, risk management, and strategic planning, and more. A roundtable panel discussion will close the conference as charter school leaders address pertinent school governance topics and answer attendee questions.
