Vice President, Construction Operations
Barbara started her construction career at an early age as a free laborer sweeping custom home jobsites when her father was a superintendent. After college, she spent several years in the field gaining valuable hands-on experience with large general contracting companies on multi-million dollar commercial buildings. After spending 9 years as a stay-at-home-mom, she returned to the industry as an Owner’s Representative and spent the last 10 years supporting municipal horizontal infrastructure projects. Her strong suits include organizing people and ideas while finding ways to foster teamwork, productivity, and efficient workflows. Barbara has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and is a LEED AP. She lives in San Antonio, TX where she was a Founding Family member, Parent Board Member and an active volunteer at the charter school her two children attended.
“I firmly believ that education is the key to ending cycles of poverty. As a former charter school parent, I understand the importance of making sure all children are given opportunities to learn, grow and thrive at a school that best fits their needs and interests.”
